What to Expect
This Parent-Child Playshop for children ages 5-7 and their caregivers is designed to foster connection between you and your child as well as teach important social skills. You will walk away feeling more connected, joyful, and armed with 3 fun and educational games to play with your child that teach social skills.
We will use the award-winning social emotional education tools Kimochis to talk and play about feelings and mindfulness tools to slow down and get present. In small groups we will practice conversation skills and play a cooperative game with blocks that teaches nonverbal cues, attention, as well as patience. Lastly we will play an imaginative story-telling game that invites both expressing your ideas fully as well as going with the flow of other’s ideas. We will have some fun giveaways at the end for both children and caregivers!
Cost is per child. Must have at least one adult with each child. Additional parents and child caregivers join free!
Next Session: Saturday April 5th 11:00-12:30pm
Cost: $50 per child ( sliding scale available, please email for more information)
